On the night of November 29, 2025, Russian forces launched a combined strike on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure using attack UAVs as well as air- and ground-launched missiles.
This was reported by the Air Force Command’s press center.
The main direction of the strike was the Kyiv region.
How many missiles and drones were launched?
In total, Air Force radar units detected and tracked 632 aerial targets — 36 missiles and 596 UAVs of various types:
- 596 attack UAVs of the Shahed and Geran types (and other drones) launched from the Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions of Russia, and from Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea (around 350 of them were Shaheds);
- 5 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles (launched from Ryazan region, Russia);
- 23 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles (launched from Rostov region, Russia);
- 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (launched from Bryansk and Rostov regions, Russia);
- 4 Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles (launched from Kursk region, Russia).
Ukraine’s air defense — fighter aircraft, missile units, EW and drone units, and mobile fire groups — worked to repel the attack.
How did our air defense perform?
As of 10:30 AM, according to preliminary data, 577 aerial targets were destroyed or suppressed:
- 558 enemy UAVs (Shahed, Geran, and others);
- 1 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile;
- 12 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles;
- 2 Kh-59/69 guided missiles.
Air Forces reported missile hits and 35 attack drones striking 22 locations, with debris falling at 17 additional sites.
