After the occupation of Crimea, all operations of the oil terminal were redirected to supply Russian military forces.

On the night of April 8, explosions and a fire were reported in Feodosia, in Russian-occupied Crimea. Footage shared on social media showed flames rising over the city near the Marine Oil Terminal JSC, according to the Russian opposition outlet ASTRA.

The Marine Oil Terminal in Feodosia is the largest fuel hub in Crimea and one of the key facilities supporting Russian military logistics in southern Ukraine.

The terminal receives oil and petroleum products via sea vessels, railways, and trucks, with storage capacity of about 250,000 cubic meters of fuel. Following the occupation of Crimea, its operations were redirected to supply Russian troops.

The facility plays a critical role in providing fuel and lubricants to Russian armed forces. A significant share of petroleum products is transported from this base to support occupying forces on the left bank of the Kherson region and in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

According to ASTRA, local authorities have not officially confirmed the fire at the oil depot. Notably, on October 6 last year, Ukrainian drones had already attacked the same facility in Feodosia. Images later showed the aftermath of a six-day fire at the site, which affected 12 fuel storage tanks, eight of which were completely destroyed. Buildings on the territory were also burned.
