According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian forces struck four key Russian oil industry facilities overnight on Saturday, April 18.
In the Samara Oblast, large fires broke out at the Syzran and Novokuibyshev refineries following the strikes. Additional targets included the Tikhoretsk oil pumping station in the Krasnodar Krai and the RPK Vysotsk “Lukoil-2” oil terminal in the Leningrad Oblast. The military noted that all of these facilities were used to support Russian armed forces.
Ukrainian defenders also hit a fuel storage site near occupied Mariupol, as well as Russian repair units in the areas of Tokmak (Zaporizhzhia Oblast), Hrafske and Mangush (Donetsk Oblast).
Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi, callsign “Madyar,” also confirmed a strike on an oil depot in occupied Sevastopol.
