The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that as a result of a large-scale Russian missile and drone attack on the night of Thursday, 16 March, against Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipro and other regions of Ukraine, at least 15 people were killed and more than 100 were injured.
In Kyiv’s Podil and Obolon districts, four people were killed and 58 residents were injured. Russian strikes damaged 17 apartment buildings and 10 private houses, as well as a car dealership, a gas station, an office center, a shopping mall, and a hotel.
In Odesa, eight people were killed and 19 were injured after ballistic missile and drone strikes. Several victims are in serious condition. The attack damaged the port, dormitories, administrative buildings, and destroyed a residential high-rise.
In Dnipro, two people were killed and 27 were injured, including children, following a combined missile and drone strike. Additional injuries were reported later in the evening. Schools, dormitories, vehicles, residential buildings, and a hospice were damaged.
In Kharkiv, “Geran-2” drones hit residential areas in the Nemyshlyanskyi and Industrial districts, injuring two people and damaging homes and vehicles.
Overall, Russian forces launched 44 missiles and 659 drones. Ukrainian air defense reportedly intercepted 636 drones and 31 missiles.
