Ukrainian troops in Pokrovsk are continuing to resist Russian attempts to push deeper into the city, with intense fighting ongoing and the enemy suffering heavy losses.
According to the press service of the 7th Air Assault Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as of midday on November 27, clashes are taking place along the entire railway line. In the central part of the city alone, at least 21 Russian soldiers were eliminated in the past 24 hours. South of the railway, units including the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelya” are conducting raid operations.
“FPV drone operators are targeting enemy personnel and equipment that Russians hide among civilian buildings after moving into Pokrovsk,” the statement said. Meanwhile, Russian forces are trying to push into the northern districts, losing significant manpower even during their staging attempts.
“They are sacrificing their own lives to amass forces and prepare for further assaults, including efforts to improve satellite communications. Our troops detect and disrupt these activities,” the Corps noted.
Earlier, Brigadier General Yevhen Lasiychuk, commander of the 7th Rapid Response Corps, reported that units of the Air Assault Forces, Ground Forces, Marines, special forces, SBU, SBS, SSO and the National Guard are defending the city.
Due to the scale of their losses, Russia has already been forced to deploy reserves in the Pokrovsk area, according to the “East” Military Grouping. At the same time, Ukrainian forces have secured logistical corridors to nearby Myrnohrad to deliver supplies and evacuate the wounded.
Over the past day, Russian troops attempted 57 assaults in and around Pokrovsk, the General Staff reported. Despite their persistent attacks, the occupiers’ progress remains minimal — at this rate, they would seize the Donbas no earlier than August 2027.
