In the night of April 14, Russian forces launched 4 missiles and 129 drones against Ukraine, about 90 of which were “Shaheds.” Ukrainian air defense intercepted a missile and 114 drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force Telegram channel.
Details of the attack
The assault began at around 6:00 p.m. on April 13.
The enemy used:
- 4 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air-launched missiles from temporarily occupied territory in Donetsk region;
- 129 strike drones, including “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” “Italmas,” and other types.
Drone launches were carried out from:
- Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia);
- temporarily occupied Donetsk region;
- Chauda (occupied Crimea).
About 90 of the drones were identified as Shaheds.
Air defense response
Ukraine’s air attack was repelled by:
- aviation units;
- anti-aircraft missile forces;
- electronic warfare units;
- drone and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
As of 08:00, Ukrainian air defense had:
- shot down or suppressed 1 missile and 114 drones across northern, southern, and eastern regions.
Damage reported
According to preliminary data:
- 12 drones hit targets at 8 locations;
- debris from intercepted drones fell in 5 additional areas.
Information regarding three missiles is still being clarified.
The air attack was still ongoing at the time of reporting, with several drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.
