Ukrainian defenders damaged several workshops at the Atlant Aero plant in Taganrog during a missile strike. The facility is used by Russia to produce Molniya drones.

Strike on Atlant Aero
According to the General Staff, the results of the strike on the Atlant Aero plant have been уточнені. Damage was confirmed to:
- the final drone assembly workshop;
- two production workshops;
- the company’s administrative building.
Strike on ammunition depot
In addition, on the night of January 16, Ukrainian forces struck an ammunition depot belonging to a unit of Russia’s 76th Air Assault Division near the town of Prymorsk in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region.
“A direct hit on the target has been recorded. The scale of the damage is being clarified,” the General Staff said.

On January 13, 2026, Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out a missile strike on the Atlant Aero enterprise in Taganrog, Rostov region, using Ukrainian-made missiles. The plant carries out the full production cycle—from design to manufacturing and testing—of Molniya strike and reconnaissance drones. It also produces components for Orion drones used by Russian occupation forces.
Earlier, on January 11, Ukrainian forces conducted precision strikes on facilities supporting the Russian army with energy resources, logistics, and air defense, including Lukoil drilling platforms in the Caspian Sea, a Buk-M3 air defense system launcher in occupied Luhansk region, and a logistics depot of Russia’s 49th Army in Kherson region.
