The death toll from the Russian strike on a residential building in Ternopil on November 19 has risen to 34, according to Taras Pastukh, deputy head of the Ternopil Regional Administration.
“As of now, we can confirm that 34 people have been killed. Thirty-three have already been identified. There are body fragments that belong to a man. Experts are currently working to determine which of the two missing men they belong to,” Pastukh said.
According to him, two men, three women, and one child are still considered missing. He also noted that the victims include not only residents of the building but also people who were on their way to a shelter.
“We have four victims who died at this address but did not live in the building,” he added.
