Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) said its drones struck the Russian shadow fleet tanker Avero in the Black Sea and three oil depots in Russia's Stavropol region, triggering large fires.

According to the SBU, the Avero, a Suezmax-class tanker under Ukrainian sanctions, had been used to transport Russian crude oil to countries including China and India despite G7 and EU embargoes. The vessel was reportedly hit by the SBU's Mamai naval drone.

The agency said the Avero is the fourth Suezmax tanker targeted by Ukrainian special services in the past 10 days.

The SBU also said long-range drones struck three oil storage facilities about 600 kilometers from Ukraine's border. Explosions reportedly ignited fuel storage tanks, causing large fires at all three sites.

The agency said the operations were aimed at reducing Russia's military and economic capabilities by disrupting oil exports, cutting Kremlin energy revenues and limiting fuel supplies for Russian forces.

Separately, Ukraine's General Staff said overnight strikes also targeted two Russian tankers in the Black Sea, a floating crane in the Sea of Azov, a Buk air defense system near Zelenopillia in the Zaporizhzhia region, and a road bridge near Novoekonomichne in the Donetsk region used for Russian military logistics.
