Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi (“Madyar”), reported that Ukrainian drones struck the Titan chemical plant in occupied Armiansk during the night of June 13.

The facility, formerly known as Crimean Titan, is the largest producer of titanium dioxide in Eastern Europe. According to Ukrainian military sources, the plant is also involved in producing materials used for propellants, explosives, and rocket fuel.

Following the strike, a large fire reportedly broke out on the site, forcing a suspension of operations.

Madyar cited local reports claiming that the plant was “heavily damaged,” with as many as 23 drone impacts recorded. According to those reports, multiple production workshops were affected, fires spread across the facility, and workers were evacuated.

Before Russia’s occupation of Crimea, and for several years afterward, the plant was owned by companies linked to Ukrainian businessman Dmytro Firtash. In 2021, the assets were reportedly sold to the Russian company “Russian Titan.”
