The number of successful operations doubled in March.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine maintain the strategic initiative on the front and are preventing Russian troops from launching a large-scale offensive, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said on Thursday, April 9.
He назвав unmanned systems a key factor behind Ukraine’s defensive advantage, noting they deliver the most massive and effective strikes on the enemy. “For four consecutive months, starting from December 2025, our unmanned units have neutralized more enemy personnel than they recruit,” Syrskyi stated.
He added that in March, total enemy personnel losses inflicted by unmanned units increased by 29% compared to February. On average, drone units carry out more than 11,000 combat missions per day and hit over 150,000 verified targets in March — 50% more than in February.
Syrskyi also reported increased effectiveness of Ukraine’s Middle Strike capabilities, with nearly 350 strikes at operational depth (30–120 km), hitting 143 logistics facilities, 52 command posts, and 20 oil and energy infrastructure sites.
Ground robotic systems also doubled the number of completed missions in March.
At the same time, Russia is expanding its unmanned forces, increasing their number to 101,000 personnel, with plans to reach 165,500 by the end of 2026.
