The number of people injured in Russia’s large-scale overnight missile and drone attack on Kyiv has risen to 81, including three children, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
Officials said 29 adults and two children remain hospitalized, while three victims are in critical condition. Another 46 people received medical assistance at the scene. Two women were killed in the attack.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported that people may still be trapped under the rubble in the Darnytskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, where search-and-rescue operations are continuing.
The strikes also damaged the building of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Art Museum of Ukraine, which has been closed indefinitely following the attack.
Culture Minister Tetiana Berezhna said the assault was the largest attack on Kyiv’s cultural institutions since the start of the full-scale war.
