Russian forces launched a large-scale drone attack on Sloviansk in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, using Geran-2, Molniya-2 and FPV drones, local authorities reported.
According to Sloviansk Military Administration chief Vadym Liakh, the strikes damaged five private homes and a gas station. A woman and her seven-year-old son were injured in the attack and are receiving medical treatment.
One of the drones also struck Nova Poshta Branch No. 1. The company said no employees were hurt, but the facility sustained damage and a fire broke out. Cleanup operations and an assessment of affected shipments are currently underway.
Nova Poshta stated that customers will be compensated for parcels destroyed in the attack based on their declared value.
The strike comes just days after another Russian attack damaged Nova Poshta Branch No. 11 in nearby Kramatorsk during an air raid.
