On the night of April 1, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Ukraine, deploying 339 strike UAVs of various types, including around 200 Shahed drones. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 298 of them were neutralized.

“According to preliminary data as of 08:00 on Wednesday, air defense shot down or suppressed 298 enemy UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types, across the north, south, east, west, and central regions of the country,” the statement said.

At the same time, 20 strike drones hit targets across 11 locations, while debris from downed drones fell in five areas.

Around 20 Russian UAVs are still being tracked in Ukrainian airspace. The threat remains particularly high in the Mykolaiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions.

In Lutsk, Russian drones destroyed a Nova Poshta terminal and damaged an industrial facility. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

In Khmelnytskyi, the attack caused a fire at an enterprise, with emergency crews currently working at the scene. In the Cherkasy region, a residential building was damaged, and its owner suffered an acute stress reaction.
